Artist Profile

pitilotti ~ (Petro le Roux) is an explorer of the diverse qualities of nature and the universe. Since childhood she was fascinated and drawn into the miracle world of nature and the infinity of the universe and by using patterns, forms and colours the artist reveals the harmony with impressionism to the art viewers.

The artist uses a soft colour on canvas as first layer of paint. She then draw her composition in a loose sketch after which she employs thin, delicate and sometimes thicker oil fluid style with bold applications and colours to capture the impressionism of the image and to unveil the messages of each painting. In the artist's solidarity with nature and fleeting moments, her paintings have nuances of sincerity and serenity with expressions of timelessness and truthfulness.

pitilotti invites the viewer to place themselves amidst the painting - to vividly experience the ambience of the image - to open the mind to the message it conveys. ~ 'Veni, Vidi, Vici'.
